Mastering the 12-Lead EKG – Book of quality and professional care
Mastering the 12-Lead EKG is the only book that boils down the complexities of learning to interpret the EKG into one engaging and accessible tool. This resource uses a step-by-step systematic approach, real-world clinical applications, and rich hands-on opportunities to teach everything students need to know to provide quality care and professional. The second edition is greatly enhanced with extensive exercises that apply and reinforce chapter concepts.
The second edition of Mastering the 12-Lead EKG is a tremendous enhancement to the first edition. The author has added a significant amount of material on patient and procedural content. The material has been reorganized substantially to improve learning flow and make it easier for students to find information. Exercises have been added in many new sections; and most exercises now have multiple solution options so students can choose the best option for their needs. The material is also available as a web-based learning application.

The book gives a very comprehensive view of what an EKG is and how it ties to real patients. The chapters on arrhythmias and advanced topics are very well done. Overall the book is well organized with thorough content and useful illustrations that students will really find useful in learning the 12-lead EKG.

Mastering the 12-Lead EKG is an excellent book. It provides a very concise overview for those with little or no knowledge on this topic. The author includes application examples as well as clinical pearls and pitfalls that any physician should be aware of and skilled at handling. I recommend this book to all physicians who are interested in improving their knowledge and confidence using 12-lead EKGs.

This is a great update of a classic textbook. The author has added several new chapters and distinctly updated others. A particular strength of this book is its format-the book is broken into easily consumable parts, there are many helpful examples and illustrations, and the presentation is visually appealing. I am recommending it to my residents as an essential text in their ekg course.
